Tom Rondeau

Tom Rondeau is a Ph.D. student in the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech as an advisee of Dr. Charles Bostian. He expects to complete his degree in Electrical Engineering in the spring of 2008 with research in cognitive radios, distributed machine intelligence, and creative machines.
Tom received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech in May 2003, graduating Summa Cum Laude. As an undergraduate, Tom was awarded the Bradley Scholarship. Tom was involved in undergraduate research at Virginia Tech, assisting in the building of the Bluetooth Laboratory with Dr. Dennis Sweeney and researching the effects of microwave oven interference on Bluetooth networks as well as Bluetooth-to-Bluetooth co-interference. Tom is a Student Member of the IEEE, in the Microwave Theory and Technique Society and in the Communications Society.
When not working in his lab, Tom enjoys movies, reading voraciously, boating and fishing, cooking, and boxing.
